ITRIBIS Project Final meeting
- Steering Committee Meeting
This event aims to bring experience on previous public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the public health domain to explore their role in the genomic context, thus analysing how to promote the establishment of European PPPs in this field. The increased adoption of large scale projects based on sequencing population data may increasingly coexist with commercial entities. These projects are associated with high level of investment to include: major scientific equipment; knowledge-based resources such as collections, archives or scientific data; e-infrastructures that would be able to benefit public and private institutions. Nonetheless, these projects also raise ethical, legal and social questions. The EPPPIC (European Public-Private Partnerships Innovation Conference) event will focus on identifying the major barriers and the recommended strategies to overcome them in order to promote the establishment of PPPs in Europe in the genomic field.
